VCC, faith groups announce united front against LARC, abortion industry funding

Conference joins pro-life, faith groups at press conference to protest LARC, abortion industry funding in state budget

Today the Virginia Catholic Conference joined other faith and pro-life groups to announce their united opposition to a pilot contraception program that targets low-income women and teenagers. The program would direct millions of taxpayer dollars toward Virginia’s bloated abortion industry. The announcement was made at an afternoon press conference alongside The Family Foundation of Virginia, the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (SBCV) and the Virginia Assembly of Independent Baptists (VAIB) at a joint press conference.
It comes as legislators continue to haggle over the state budget, and as the Senate prepares to convene for that purpose on Monday, May 14.

Click here to urge your legislators to remove LARC funding from the state budget, or at least to ensure the already bloated abortion industry receives no taxpayer money through the program. Act today!

Conference Executive Director Jeff Caruso’s statement from the press conference can be found here.
