While many of us are still enjoying summertime, election season is right around the corner with early voting beginning next month! This fall, Virginia voters will decide three ballot questions, including one that would write virtually unlimited abortion into Virginia’s constitution. Participate in these vital decisions as faithful citizens! We encourage parishes and individuals to share the following resources and the additional resources provided by your diocese.
STOP THE EXTREME ABORTION AMENDMENT
RESOURCES ON ALL THREE AMENDMENT PROPOSALS

Early voting begins Sept 18 and election day is Nov 3. Prepare to vote!
Ballot Question 1: The VCC opposes the proposed amendment that would enshrine a “fundamental right” to abortion in Virginia’s constitution. VOTE NO on Ballot Question 1.
Ballot Question 2: The VCC opposes the proposed amendment that would repeal the one-man/one-woman marriage provision in Virginia’s constitution – a provision approved by Virginia voters in 2006 with strong support by the VCC. VOTE NO on Ballot Question 2.
Ballot Question 3: The VCC supports the proposed constitutional amendment that would guarantee the restoration of voting rights to all who have completed their prison sentences. VOTE YES on Ballot Question 3.
